Our Journey

We’re a church plant of the Anglican Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast, part of the Anglican Church in North America.

In January 2025, we began gathering weekly for what we called DComm—Discipleship Community. That initial season was our “Get Ready” phase, centered around prayer and the Scriptures. It was a quiet, intentional beginning—seeking the Lord together, listening for His leading, and laying a foundation of trust and theological clarity.

Now, we’ve stepped into Phase 2: the “Get Set” phase. Ministry teams are forming, worship is becoming more participatory, and families are beginning to connect—not just with our church, but with one another.

We’ve also begun celebrating weekly Eucharist using the Anglican liturgy, and it’s been beautiful to see how the sacramental rhythm is shaping our worship and imagination. There’s a quiet hunger for depth, for tradition with meaning, and for a church that doesn’t just gather but grows together.

✨ Phase 3: “Go!” — Launch Day Approaches

On January 25, 2026, we will officially launch as the Church of St. Andrew. This day marks the culmination of prayer, preparation, and community-building, and the beginning of a new chapter in our shared life of worship and mission.

Our launch is not simply about starting services—it’s about stepping fully into the calling God has placed before us: to be a church rooted in Scripture, nourished by the sacraments, and sent into the world with the hope of Christ.

We look forward to welcoming neighbors, friends, and families into a community where tradition and meaning meet, where discipleship is lived out in everyday rhythms, and where worship is both reverent and joyful.

As we move toward this milestone, we remain grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness and excited for the journey ahead. Launch Day is not the finish line—it’s the beginning of a mission to grow deeper in Christ and wider in love.

WHAT IS ANGLICANISM?

Our Mission

We are a community of believers actively following Jesus and teaching others to do the same.

Our Strategy

Pursue Meaningful Relationships | Engage

Pursue Meaningful Relationships | Engage

Pursue Meaningful Relationships | Engage

  • Family Discipleship Communities: Establish small groups where people can build deep, authentic connections. These intimate settings allow for personal sharing, accountability, and spiritual growth, making it easier for individuals to disciple one another.
  • Discipleship Communities (DComm’s): Pair newer believers with more mature Christians who can guide them in their faith journey. This one-on-one or three-to-one relationship(s) fosters trust, allows for personalized discipleship, and encourages growth on both sides.
  • Shared Activities: Organize events and activities that bring people together, such as retreats, workshops, and social gatherings. These shared experiences can deepen relationships and provide opportunities for spiritual conversations.
  • Regular Check-Ins: Encourage members to regularly check in with each other, either through phone calls, texts, or in-person meetings. Consistent communication helps maintain relationships and provides ongoing support.

Adopting the Narratives of Jesus | Teach

  • Teaching and Preaching: Because Jesus is the preexistent and eternal Son of God, no one knows God or the nature and meaning of life more than Jesus. Jesus’ narratives are the truth. He himself is the truth. So, the key is adopting Jesus’ narratives by teaching and preaching the stories and images Jesus tells to reveal the character and kingdom of God.
  • Scripture Immersion: Foster a deep engagement with the Gospels by organizing Bible studies and reading plans focused on the life and teachings of Jesus. This helps believers internalize His message and apply it to their lives.
  • Community Service: Create opportunities for members to serve others as Jesus did. This can include feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, and visiting those in prison. Service projects can make the narrative of Jesus come alive in practical ways.

  • Shared Worship: Promote regular attendance at worship services where the community gathers to praise, learn, and worship together, reinforcing the communal aspect of faith.
  • Prayer Groups: Form prayer groups that meet regularly to pray for the church, the community, and each other, fostering a strong sense of spiritual support and unity.
  • Community Meals: Host regular community meals or potlucks to build relationships and create a welcoming environment where members can share and discuss their faith journeys.

  • Daily Devotions: Encourage daily scripture reading and meditation. Provide church members with devotional guides or reading plans to help structure their quiet time with God.
  • Prayer Journals: Suggest keeping a prayer journal where members can record their prayers, reflections, and how they see God working in their lives. This can deepen their prayer life and provide a tangible record of their spiritual growth.
  • Fasting: Teach and promote the practice of fasting as a way to focus on God and seek spiritual breakthroughs. Provide guidance on how to fast safely and effectively.
  • Silence and Solitude: Encourage times of silence and solitude to listen for God's voice and reflect on His presence. This practice can help members develop a deeper awareness of God in their daily lives.
